Speaking at the TRT World Forum held at the Istanbul Congress Center, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made no reference to the arrest of former minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya. He instead stressed a crisis within the international system. Kaya, a former minister and AKP deputy chair, was arrested after giving her second statement in a fund investigation. Her husband was released under judicial control measures. Prosecutors are examining how many years in prison Kaya may face.
